Ricker’s Replenish Plants Its 20,000th Tree in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 17, 2017) – Ricker’s reduced emissions program, Replenish, is proving its commitment to the local and global environment as it continues to grow.

In May 2016, Ricker’s introduced the Ricker’s Replenish program with GreenPrint LLC at more than 500 pumps at 32 locations in the Indianapolis metro area. Since the launch, the Replenish program has offset more than 115 million pounds of carbon tailpipe emissions and planted 20,000 trees across over 20 acres in Indiana. Still going strong, customers are embracing the Replenish program as they are continuously directing their gas purchases and loyalty towards Ricker’s, a company who continues to give back to their communities in numerous ways beyond the Replenish program.

Ricker’s to Provide Free ATM Cash Withdrawals

Starting today, Ricker’s Convenience Stores will offer free ATM cash withdrawals at all of its 56 locations. Under this new initiative, Ricker’s will have the largest network of free ATMs in central Indiana.

“Offering free cash withdrawals at our in-store ATMs is just another way we can give back to our fellow Hoosiers,” said President and CEO Quinn Ricker. “Ricker’s is an Indiana family-owned business and it has always been our top priority to take care of our own.”

Ricker’s Very Own Karen Mitchener Named One of the 2016 Top Women in Convenience

Ricker’s Director of Human Resources, Karen Mitchener has just been named one of the 2016 Top Women in Convenience in the Senior Leaders category by CSNews.

Mitchener has served as Ricker’s Director of Human Resources for more than 18 years and has played a central role in establishing Ricker’s HR department and the successful development and implementation of employee training and recognition programs.

The Top Women in Convenience program recognizes a diverse array of women in the convenience retail industry, including leaders, mentors and role models. By collecting donations through counter kettles, Ricker’s was able to make a significant contribution to Indiana’s Division of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

Ricker’s Expedites Security Plan After Skimming Attempt

The chairman of Ricker’s said he’s looking out for customer safety after a failed skimming attempt at one of his gas stations.

Last week, Ricker’s employees said they found an illegal credit card reading device, also known as a skimmer, inside one of their pumps near 71st and Zionsville Road.

To prevent this from reoccurring, Ricker said the company is doubling the work load on a nearly $600 thousand dollar security plan that was already being established.

Ricker’s Chooses GreenPrint to Launch Reduced Emission Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS – Following its successful launches in Atlanta with BP and New Mexico with Alon 7-Eleven, GreenPrint LLC will expand to the Midwest through a partnership with Ricker’s. The companies have teamed up to introduce a Reduced Emissions Fuel Program across 32 Ricker’s convenience stores in the Indianapolis area.

The sustainability program reduces consumers’ tailpipe emissions through GreenPrint’s proprietary platform. The program does not require new software, hardware, or new tanks or equipment that would require capital expense and installation.
