Indianapolis, IN – Built from the ground up, Ricker Oil’s newest convenience store (13642 Olivia Way, Fishers) will serve as the model for the company’s other Indianapolis-area locations, which will be revamped to mimic the esthetic of the new Fishers store.
“This flagship store is the perfect example of the direction in which Ricker’s is headed,” said Ricker Oil Company President and CEO, Quinn Ricker. “We’re focused on offering the best possible experience for our customers, and that’s exactly what this store does.”
The exterior of the Fishers store is a contemporary combination of brick and stone, with Ricker’s signature green metal roof. The interior floors and walls are covered in modern tile, and the store boasts granite countertops throughout. A chandelier hangs from the two-story vaulted ceiling in the center of the store.
“People won’t believe they’re standing in a convenience store,” said Ricker. “It’s that upscale.”
The location also features a deli, bakery, and, of course, a Ricker Pop station where customers can concoct their own special mix of soft drinks and flavors. Additionally, all Ricker’s stores will now offer a selection of beer and wine, eight different blends of coffee, specialty coffees and new blends of cold teas.
“Every aspect of the store was carefully thought out and planned, said Ricker. “Even the layout of the store is such that it’s incredibly easy to navigate, which allows customers to find what they’re looking for quickly.”
Even filling up will be an experience, with new, state-of-the-art pumps.
The new Fishers store and the updating of the other locations comes as Ricker’s is also revamping its brand. Both the interior and exterior showcase Ricker’s new look, evident all the way from the sign on the front of the building to the sleeves on the cups.
“While we’re very proud of Ricker’s new brand and modernized stores, what we’re most proud of is our involvement in the communities where we do business,” said Ricker. “It’s a big part of who we are as a company, and no matter how much we grow we pledge to not loose sight of that.”
Updates to Ricker’s other Indianapolis-area locations are expected to be completed by late Spring 2012.
